Steve Wiemer DDS MD

Dr. Wiemer strives to ensure every patient receives the highest quality care in a comforting and stress-free environment. He was born and raised in York, Nebraska and graduated from York High School. He later graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences. Dr. Wiemer attended dental school at the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Dentistry where he graduated with high distinction, was inducted into the Omnicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society and earned the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Award as a dental student.

Dr. Wiemer earned his medical degree from the prestigious Mayo Clinic School of Medicine. He also completed his Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery residency at Mayo Clinic. Throughout his training, he was fortunate to train alongside the world’s experts in their respective fields and care for patients with complex needs. Dr. Wiemer is excited to bring this experience to Nebraska and has a special interest in dental implants, dental extractions, sedation and anesthesia, TMJ surgery, corrective jaw (orthognathic) surgery, and 3D virtual surgical planning. While at Mayo Clinic he was actively involved in research and is a published author in the Journal of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. In 2021 he was awarded the Charles H. Mayo Integration Award by the Department of Dental Specialties that celebrates the integration of Medicine and Dentistry.

Dr. Wiemer and his wife Brittney are excited to move their two young children and two dogs back to Nebraska. In his free time, he is an avid woodworker, golfer, and Husker fan. He and his family enjoy being outdoors, hiking, playing board games, and spending time with their extended family.
