Jeffrey Ant DDS MD

Dr. Ant grew up in Dubuque, IA, and cared for our men and women in the Navy and Marine Corps for 30 years.  He may still let an occasional military term slip out when you talk to him.  He joined the U.S. Navy right out of the University of Washington School of Dentistry and served until he retired in 2024 with the rank of CAPT (O-6). Dr. Ant brings that experience, dedication, and passion to Nebraska Oral and Facial Surgery patients.

After dental school, Dr. Ant served 4 years as a general dentist, including 3 on the aircraft carrier USS CARL VINSON before being accepted to residency at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, MD (now named Walter Reed).  He completed his MD degree at Georgetown University as part of that program.  His broad experience as an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon and Naval Officer includes; 4 more deployments on aircraft carriers, being the residency program director at Naval Medical Center San Diego, leading the dental clinic at the Marine Corps boot camp in San Diego, and taking care of our Marine aviators at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar.

After his travels, he is glad to be back in the Midwest and knew Lincoln and Nebraska Oral and Facial Surgery were the right places to be on the first visit.  You will find Dr Ant to be open, honest, and willing to answer all your questions.

When not doing the best for his patients, Dr. Ant likes to spend time with his wife and dogs.  He particularly enjoys traveling, cycling, hiking, and visiting his son and daughter in Minneapolis and Flagstaff, AZ.
